Beef Pepper Roast


The Beef Pepper Roast is a recipe that we do not need much time to cook the simplest and best tastes prepared in it. We cook steamed beef with turmeric powder, pepper powder and salt with an onion base seasoning and then we slowly begin to cook.

The beef pepper roast is best served with steamed rice, Indian breads such as idiopam, dosa, chapatti and porata.

Ingredients

Beef - 300g (cut into small / medium cubes - with or without bones)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp pepper powder
Curry leaves

Masala

1 Large Onion - Sliced
5 Garlic of the Cloves
1/2 inch Garlic
Good bunch of curry leaves
4 Green Chilies- half by slit
1 tsp of Pepper powder
Turmeric powder of 1/2 tsp
1 tsp of Garam masala
1 tbsp - Whole pepper corns
2 tsp - Red chili flakes
1 tsp - Saunf / Fennel seeds
Salt
Hing - a pinch
Coconut oil- 2tbsp

Steps

1) Cut beef into a pressure cooker, add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp pepper powder, salt, 1/4 cup water and curry leaves.

2) In a pan, add 2 tbsp of oil, then add the ginger, garlic, finely ground curry leaves and green chilli saut on medium low flame. Add the chopped onion and set the flame to medium high, and cook until the onions turn golden brown. Do not allow them to caramelize.

3) Add turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala and salt. Bake for 2-3 minutes on medium low fire.

4) Add the cooked beef slices to the stock and cook until the beef stock is dry.

5) Add the whole pepper grains, red chilli flakes, fennel and beef to the slow cooked beef for 5 to 8 minutes. Add extra curry leaves, green chillies and coconut oil at the end for extra flavor. Serve hot!

Points to remember.

Adjust your spice level when we use pepper powder, pepper corn, red chilli flakes and green peppers.
Use a good amount of curry leaves for extra flavor
Add 1/4 cup water or cook the beef without water so it does not cook.
